Dew by Whitegrass

First we eat, then we do everything else.

Dew by Whitegrass is a quaint Japanese fusion spot at CHIJMES that has become one of Carol’s (and by extension mine 😆) favourite spot to hang out and eat good food. I’ve had the chance to dine at Dew with Carol several times ever since they opened doors last year so I thought it’d be good to share a nice spot in case anyone is interested to explore new restaurants or looking for a place to celebrate special occasions ✨

💧 30 Victoria Street, No. 01-27A, CHIJMES, Singapore 187996 (Google Maps)

One of my favourite dishes is Molten Cheese

Conveniently located at CHIJMES, Dew by Whitegrass is a sister restaurant of Michelin star restaurant Whitegrass (which is situated just right beside Dew btw) and is designed as a sake-bar that serves Japan-inspired cuisine to be paired with the Japanese beverages available. The clean aesthetics of Dew with open-concept bar/kitchen makes it a very nice restaurant if you’re looking for good ambience to spend quality time and eat good food.

Here’s some of my favourite go-to dishes:

  • Potato Bombs (potato fritters with a flavour of your choice)

  • Trio Raw Oysters

  • Togarashi Wings

  • IGA Wagyu Don

  • Molten Cheese

I’ve had the chance to taste different types of Japanese cocktails and alcohol that Dew had specially curated and every single one of them is super nice to drink 🥂. I love how they keep their food staples good for sharing with your dining partner or in a group and so far none of the dishes have disappointed us 😋 Of course, if you’re looking to dine alone, the mains are good for one person too heh.

I love that Dew’s chef also pushes out daily/seasonal special menu e.g. for Valentine’s Day, Christmas/New Year’s etc so you’ll definitely be able to find something new to try if you visit regularly.

And I am a huge fan of their desserts. Dew’s staple dessert menu include the Nara Sake Kasu which is sake infused ice cream with cacao crumbs and black pepper and it’s reallllllly good. Carol happens to know the staff at Dew so we often get to eat their special daifuku mochi which is just so soft and melty 🥰🥰 along with Whitegrass’ famous to-die-for financiers 😋😋

So, if you're looking for a unique and different dining experience in Singapore, look no further than Dew By Whitegrass!

P.S. The restaurant accepts reservations only for dining party of 5 and above. You will need to walk-in if you are planning for a smaller dining group.
