I’m still alive… Really!

Journal0 Comments;

Hello! Long time no see hehe *shows guilty face*
I’ve kinda disappeared from this space for a while because…. PROCRASTINATION RULES!
So much so that since my last entry it’s been 2 months already and my bf has actually flown to the UK to start his masters already haha!
Anyway, just to have a short update on what I’ve been up to:

1. Had a free 2D1N staycation at Shangri-La resort in Sentosa because I won it from a contest

No really, I won it lol. Even the bf was shocked because… where got so heng right? Anyway, it was good because we stayed there for a night after collecting our new iPhone 6 that day :D
Dinner that night was at Chilli’s in Resorts World Sentosa. He had the ribs while I opted for the chicken.
It was just a short stay because we checked out of the hotel at 12pm and then went to Vivocity to have Jamie’s Kitchen and to buy more stuff for his UK stay.

2. Sent him off on the 23rd of Sept to UK for a year

It was really difficult for me when I got home that night – I was silently crying under my blanket lol!
But anyhow, he’s settling in really well there and made alot of new friends apparently! I’ve resigned myself to being sad, lonely and single (physically) every night too. It’s just work and home then dance class and church on the weekends.

And he did finish my Rapunzel puzzle before he left lol! Good bf :D
Actually he started this puzzle back in April before he left for Taiwan. It was done approx 30% and I just was too lazy to complete it really. So when he returned in September, I nagged at him to finish it for me so I could frame it up. He finished in within a day O.O What the….?

3. Makeover at YSL

I had a dinner function to attend and this really came just nicely! I love the way the MUA did my brows using just eyeshadow but my smokey eyes were… borderlining looking like a panda lol.
But hey, YOLO and I finally did a full out smokey eye look! *O/*
I have another makeover to use at Anna Sui so… will see how it turns out then too haha! I love doing makeovers because it’s so interesting to see the MUAs at work.

4. Meet-up with Dream Team for dinner

Yay I finally met my university lab group mates for dinner! Yes, I’m the only female in this group but hey, these buggers do not treat me like a girl lor haha.
We went to Furama Riverfront Hotel to have dinner at Kintamani Restaurant.
It’s a Indonesian restaurant and the food is pretty decent albeit at hotel prices.
Had a good chat with the 3 of them – omg my chao ah beng lab partner is getting married in 2016 lol!
We chatted for a good 4 hours, close to 5 actually and then parted ways. Then while I was gonna walk further away to my bus stop, they called me back to take photos lol. Wah lau eh *flips table*
It’s pretty hilarious how we actually walked back to the hotel just to get chio lighting and background haha – men can be very narcissistic too ok!
But anyway, I had fun that night! It felt like the good ol’ NUS days where we try not to burn down the lab with our reckless behaviour lol.

5. Finished dance class from Infinite

Omonaaaaaaa, it’s actually my 4th Infinite class for the year haha! I thought I’d be full out ‘Infinite dance class only’ but erh I’m learning Super Junior’s right now too :X
Nevermind, I still call 2014 my year of Infinite dances lol! Here’s us with our instructor who clearly is younger than all of us :/

6. MBLAQ’s Lee Joon & Thunder may not renew their contracts T.T

Ok this has nothing to do with my life but… I’m so sad really!!!!! T.T
Don’t do this to me really, not when I’m so into you guys only now…..
When the news came in, I was in a meeting then after which… I couldn’t concentrate at work!
SOBSSSSSSSSS. Ok la, anyway will just hope for the best. Else, I wish you all the best Joonie oppa and Doongdoong! LOL. Machiam my friends ah. HEHEHEHE.
And lastly on the beauty front – I’m so darn broke right now it’s not even funny anymore >_<
Went down to Sephora ION to check out the new benefit X’mas gift sets after Mamacita class last Sunday.
The bff stopped me from buying anything. Like really -.-” She told me to go enter their IG competition instead. We both did in the end. You see her caption below.
Ending this entry with food obviously – what else is new? xD
Dinner at Itacho a few days back. This is for 4 pax portion omg!
Alrighty, getting into my blogging mojo. Hopefully Carol will be done with my new layout soon and I will officially move over to a dot com site :D :D :D
Till then, bye!

Dance & Review: Miam Miam @ Bugis Junction

Food & Drinks, Journal0 Comments;

As you all know I’ve been actively going for Kpop dance classes over the past couple of months. At least once a week la hor so better than nothing. Still perspiring and ‘exercising’ lol.
While I am not the best dancer, I like how dancing makes me feel – carefree with no restrictions. I used to be quite shy about dancing, I remember being super nervous when I first attended my first class at CJ. It was a SHINee combo class and Jojo was teaching ‘Juliette’.
I was just perpetually self conscious of how ridiculous I would look like, just fumbling over the steps and not getting used to learning choreography.
After several years of going for classes on and off, now I have learnt to let it go *interjects ‘Let It Go’* and lose myself in the music. Who cares if I cannot catch up or look stupid haha. The satisfaction I get from mastering a Kpop song really makes me very happy.
And it allows me to spend time with my friends which I like :)
So I attended a Kpop workshop last week at Seven Dance Studio. The ssaem (short form of ‘teacher’ in Korean) was Klime and the bff had attended his classes before while I was in Europe so while I have heard of him, I have never attended his classes before.
And that 1 hour really killed my thighs LOL! We were learning EXO’s ‘Overdose’, not my first choice of song but it really is one of the latest songs released.
Wah, really pushed myself throughout that hour and I paid the price for it.
I couldn’t walk the next day and only recovered a good 4 to 5 days later.
Oh wells, maybe that explains my perpetual hunger these days lol (simi logic pls). Anw, after the class, we were just camwhoring like mad >_<
Wae I no have makeup OTL
Last weekend the girls and I tried to organise a surprise birthday celebration for Sinhui.
But despite all the miscommunication and what not, we had a pleasant dinner at Miam Miam even though I was sick to the core throughout.

I’ve been meaning to try this French-Japanese restaurant so thanks to the bff’s request of wanting to eat pasta, we decided to surprise her here. Brought little Sunggyu along. Erh, that’s Wanjun’s hamster by the way lol. He is a gift from Sinhui and I to her.
Stella made a card for Sinhui which we were all very amazed by haha because of the way to read the card.
Ok, on to the food!
The 4 of them ordered the iced matcha latte with softee, $8.80.
I didn’t order it because I was already sneezing like mad so I had the chamomile tea with honey instead.
Wanjun’s mac & cheese, $15.80
My french toast $15.80
I speak for my own dish and while I liked it, I couldn’t justify the price. That white ball atop the french toast was some sort of cream and.. I would have preferred vanilla ice cream to be honest :/
Jace’s lobster bisque pasta which was nice. Couldn’t remember the pricing and it’s not on their website either. Think it was around $18++?
Stella’s Riz Noir Black Rice, $17.80
Sinhui’s Miam Miam Capellini, $15.80
Camera shy Stella was the photographer lol
Matcha souffle, $10.80
I didn’t eat this together with the rest because I was ill and didn’t want to spread the virus to them. But they told me it tasted bad :x
Don’t take my word for it yeah lol.
So we had to order one of their desserts in order to eat the cake that we bought from another store and brought in.
Miam Miam’s policy :x
Again, couldn’t understand why since they do not sell any cakes nor pastries but didn’t contest otherwise.
I realise this is a problem with most F&B places in Singapore :(
Guess when you wanna have some cake or celebrate someone’s birthday, best to do it at home lol.
Bluffing her that the matcha souffle was her cake HAHAHAHA
Of cos, not that mean. We bought her the Guanaja cake from Rive Gauche Patisserie ok.
Best.cake.ever. in my opinion
Happy birthday once again Sinhui! :D
And sorry for falling sick on your birthday ‘party’ lol.
Yes, even if I looked okay, you can see how swollen my eyes were in the pics.
Thanks for the company too ma gizibes!
Last but not least, leaving this entry with Gyutaro/Gyuball the Hamster lol.
He’s quite the fluff ball isn’t he? Haha.
Wanjun has been named the new age pet owner by me because she brings her hamster out with her to meet us LOLOL!
Okay, that’s all folks. Till my next entry annyeong~

10.05.14: A Day To Remember

Food & Drinks, Journal, Make Up0 Comments;

Wohoo super hardworking me! HAHAHA. More blog posts hahaha because the bf has gone back to Taiwan and I am free at nights (yes, no social life sad die me).
Sooooooo let’s see, I had a very awesome Saturday 2 weeks ago :D It is so awesome that I am actually dedicating 1 whole entry to it leh.
I finished BTD class *open party poppers*
*\O/* *\O/* *\O/*
Yes, despite it being such a pain on my joints and that horrible scorpion move lol I actually managed to get up during the filming of the video. Thank you Jojo for being such a good instructor! :D
I always enjoy going to her classes because of the way she teaches haha. And yeah thanks Wanjun for dragging me into this class. I think I sorta lost some weight but put it all back thanks to the snacking in the office, oops!
Isetan Scotts was having a Japan fair and I got to know that Koyudo brushes were for sale there! So having skipped out on them in February because I was dead broke then, I decided to go there with the bf after BTD class before my hair appointment.
And luckily I did! Because I met one of my favourite Youtubers :D You’ll see below.
But first lemme talk about the Koyudo brushes booth,
The Koyudo brushes are really so soft! I had the opportunity to play with each brush and slowly decide which ones I wanted. Motako-san even laid out some blushes and powders for you to try on the brushes and see the effect for yourself, which is something I really like.
The Hakuhodo fair at Takashimaya which I went in March didn’t have such services although the booth was packed with sales assistants to help you select your brush choices.
Here’s what I went home with from the fair:
– Fu-pa 01 (black handle)
– Fu-pa 14 (brush in the box)
– PBT Liquid foundation brush (pink handle)
I also bought the brush cleanser to clean the Koyudo and Hakuhodo brushes – I figured since I spent so much money on the brushes, might as well maintain them in their pristine condition as possible.
And now for the final part of why I am so thankful I actually went to Koyudo at that time – meeting Rae from www.theaeviewer.com or Raeview on Instagram and Youtube!
So thankful to have finally met one of my ‘idols’ because she lives in the US and what are the odds that I would even be able to meet her ever, let alone in my own home country? :)
She has inspired me to really pursue high-ended makeup brands and I have always followed her Youtube videos and blog posts religiously. Rae was actually browsing through quietly at the Koyudo booth when I noticed her because I saw her tattoo around her wrist. And then it hit me that it was really her!
I mean, just that morning thanks to Instagram, I found out that she was actually in Singapore. I never thought that I would have the chance to meet her on the streets in Singapore because I’m quite the ‘suay’ person.
Ya, so anyway the bf egged me on to ask her for a picture because he saw me gushing like mad how much I really like Rae and I’m glad I did ask her for a photo op in the end.
Thanks once again Rae, hope to see you back in Singapore soon :D
Headed for our haircut with my usual hairstylist, Jaren. I have been a loyal customer of his since my poly days, wherever he goes like to different salons, I will definitely follow suit because I like how well he is able to cut my hair the way I like it.
The bf also needed a haircut so Jaren cut his first while I got my hair shampooed.
Did a hair treatment because of how badly damaged my hair is thanks to subjecting it to daily blow-drys.
Amazed by how soft my hair feels after the treatment lol. But alas, now that almost 2 weeks has passed, the damn humidity in our weather has killed it once again. Boo.
Happy with our haircuts and then the bf and the hairstylist actually went on to discuss Tower of Saviour. Apparently Jaren plays it as well omg. That game is the bane of my life! GRRRRRRRR.
Here’s them exchanging IDs pffft
Passed by the LINE pop-up store outside Wisma Atria. I love LINE alot if you know me personally, it’s the only app that I use with my close friends i.e. the bf and the gzbs and XZ+Carol. The stickers are to die for!! I wish they came out with Woodstock only stickers though, sure buy one me! LOL.
Anyway, the queue to enter the store was damn long but we still queued. Went out empty handed cos all the merchandise were damn expensive wtf! Took the pics with the mascot figures though so yay!
Dinner was at Koh Grill & Sushi Bar with Grace and Trevor. Plan was to go Sentosa initially but by the time I finished with my hair appointment it was almost 6pm so… nope, postponed till Vesak Day haha!
Ended the night with dessert at Haagen Daz. Went home to KO and still gushing about meeting Rae lol.
So yup, that’s all about my epic Saturday! I need to cherish this memory man haha.
Alrighty, till the next entry bye :D
